MEET OUR STAFF

Medical Director & Team Physician - Dr. Rick Okragly, MD
 
Dr. Richard Okragly, MD, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree in Combined Sciences from Youngstown State University and earned his medical degree from the Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, in 2000. He then completed a residency in Family Medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in suburban Chicago and completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, in 2004.
 
Dr. Okragly is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in both Family and Sports Medicine. He currently serves as the Program Director for the TriHealth Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and is active in teaching Family Medicine residents and Sports Medicine fellows. In addition to his roll as Medical Director for Norwood High School, Dr. Okragly has served as Team Physician at Xavier University since 2005, the Team Medical Director at Mount St. Joseph University, and Team Physician for the Cincinnati Rollergirls. He is also the Medical Director of the Xavier University Club Sports program and Assistant Medical Director for the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon.
 
Dr. Okragly has been in practice at TriHealth's Bethesda Family Practice in Norwood since 2004. His interests in Sports Medicine include health promotion and treatment of medical conditions affecting sports and exercise participation.
 

Head Athletic Trainer - Corinne Barnes, AT, ATC

Corinne Barnes enters her first year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Norwood High School. Corinne graduated with her degree in Athletic Training from The College at Brockport State University of New York. She is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of Ohio. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and The Greater Cincinnati Athletic Trainer's Association, as well as certified in CPR/AED from the American Red Cross.
 

Corinne begins her second year at Norwood in the 2019-2020 school year after serving as the Head Athletic Trainer at Goshen High School the three years before. She is a native of Fairport, New York and moved to Cincinnati in 2015. Her and her husband, Connor, who is an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Xavier University, live in Cincinnati with their son Kieran, dog Bauer, and cat Penelope. Corinne's hobbies include playing indoor soccer, sand volleyball, and being a Team Beachbody Coach.
